  • April 18, 2008: Wisconsin Public Television program "Here and Now" features WisconsinView.
  • April 18, 2008: The WisconsinView count of registered users surpassed the 5,000 mark today at 7:32pm. View our GoogleMap of New Users.
  • April 9, 2008: WisconsinView Director featured in the latest issue of Wisconsin Week.
  • January 5, 2008: 1-foot resolution aerial orthophotography of Madison (2007) , Kenosha (2005), and Racine (2005), Wisconsin is now online for download through our web portal. This public domain imagery comes courtesy of the USGS and was funded by the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency as part of their "133 cities" program.
  • November 5, 2007: GIS Day UW-Madison will be held Wednesday, November 7, 2007 on the UW-Madison Campus at Memorial Union. Elsewhere in the state (such as UW-Milwaukee's GIS Day) and beyond it will be held November 14th.
  • September 20, 2007: This morning WisconsinView logged its 4,000th unique registered data user. Click here for recent visitor information in a Google Maps interface.
  • September 7, 2007: Remote Sensing Support for Flooding Response. WisconsinView is offering support to Wisconsin Emergency Management by coordinating the acquisition and processing of remote sensing imagery of the August 2007 flooding in southern and western Wisconsin. These data are now online for public use through our web portal.
  • January 31, 2007: 2006 2-meter NAIP county mosaics are available for free download as are individual 2005 1-meter Quarter Quad GeoTIFFs.
  • January 3, 2007: This morning WisconsinView logged its 3,000th unique registered data user.
  • January 1, 2007: This month we plan to release both the 1-meter Wisconsin 2005 NAIP Quarter Quad GeoTIFFs and the 2006 NAIP MrSID 2-meter county mosaics. Stay tuned.... 2004 and 2005 county mosaics are already available online here.
  • November 9, 2006: This morning WisconsinView logged its 2,800th unique registered data user. Click here for general visitor information.
  • September 28, 2006: Duck's Unlimited of Michigan has donated 9 new Landsat scenes to our archive in exchange for WisconsinView data. The following scenes are now available from our online archive:
